Vidal R. Nieves, 28, of Maywood, N.J., passed away on November 12, 2022. Visitation will be on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at Shookâs Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, N.J. Services will begin on Thursday, November 17 at 9:15 a.m. at the funeral home. A Catholic prayer service will be offered at 10 a.m., with burial at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa, N.J. Born in Virginia Beach, VA to Ricardo and Elizabet (nee: Cordova) Nieves, Vidal lived in Jersey City, N.J., East Rutherford, N.J. and Hackensack, N.J. before moving to Maywood 3 years ago. He was a retail clerk at Dollar Tree, Passaic, N.J.
Predeceased by his grandmother, Celia Cordova, he is survived by his parents, Ricardo and Elizabet; his daughter, Lillyannie Nieves; sister, Ariela Nieves; grandfather, Victor Cordova; and grandmother, Doitilia Nieves.
