Obituary for Mitko Mancevski

Mitko Mancevski, 84, of Clifton, N.J., passed away on March 7, 2023.

Born in Besiste, Macedonia to the late Stojan and Jovanka Mancevski, Mitko emigrated to the U.S. in 1972 and lived in Passaic, N.J. and Garfield, N.J. before settling in Clifton. Prior to retiring, he was a factory worker at Union Camp, a paper manufacturing company in Clifton. He was a member of Sts. Kiril and Metodij Macedonian Orthodox Church, Cedar Grove. In the past, he enjoyed making homemade wine. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Velika and Petkana, and his son-in-law, Petre Mitovski. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mita Mancevska; loving children, Mijo Manchevski and his wife, Vecka, and Jovanka Mitovski; cherished grandchildren, Kiril, Goce, and his wife, Emilija, Kristina, and her husband, Casey Pedulla, and Jaklina Mitovski; dear great-grandchildren, Oliver and Sophia Pedulla; and loving sister, Jova Trajkovska. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 6-9 p.m. at Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, N.J. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Sts. Kiril and Metodij Macedonian Orthodox Church, Cedar Grove. Kindly gather at the church. Interment will follow at East Ridgelawn Cemetery, Clifton, N.J. Memories and condolences may be shared at shookscedargrove.com.
