Obituary for Josephine E. Moltedo (Battiato)
Josephine E. Moltedo (Battiato) 99, of Livingston, N.J. formerly of Cedar Grove, N.J. passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023. Born in Newark, N.J. she was raised in Irvington, N.J. and resided in Cedar Grove for 60 years prior to settling in Livingston 3 years ago. She was a dedicated parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena RC Church in Cedar Grove. She was a member of the Gregory Club in Irvington, The Woman’s Club in Cedar Grove and was a volunteer with the Knights of Columbus in which her late husband Albert was a member. An active member of her community, Josephine will be remembered best for her love for family and friends especially her nieces and nephews.
Prior to retiring, she was a customer service representative with PSEandG in Newark for many years.
Beloved wife of the late Albert Moltedo. Loving and devoted sister of Phyllis Mutone, Mary Joan Robertson and the late Matthew Battiato. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, 10 - 11 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to follow at St. Raphael RC Church, 346 E. Mount Pleasant Avenue, Livingston, N.J. 07039. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, N.J. Arrangements are under the direction of Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, Cedar Grove, N.J.
