Obituary for Constance A. Konsulis

Constance “Connie” Konsulis, 84, of Cedar Grove, NJ, passed away on January 8, 2023 surrounded by her loving daughter, son, and her faithful husband, Tony Konsulis.

A Memorial Gathering will take place on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. with words of remembrance to be offered by the family at 1:00 p.m. at Shook's Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, N.J.

Now most obituaries will list random, boring facts, such as their education level, that are completely tone deaf and pretty irrelevant to the life of the person. If these are the last words written about Connie Konsulis, they should reflect who she was.

Connie Konsulis, known lovingly by her grandchildren as Mimi, was an extremely beautiful, funny, and talented women. In her younger years, she modeled in NYC and loved spending time with her friends, “bopping” around the city. She loved exploring New York City - especially “the Village”. Connie was passionate about dancing, specifically tap dancing, and took tap lessons in the city at Steps; even through her 80s! She once took the same class as Betty White!

Anyone who knew Connie will remember how much she laughed. She was constantly laughing, and she could talk to anyone that would listen. Connie loved talking to people and learning about others, and had an extremely kind heart. Whether you sat next to Mimi on the bus into NYC, or tapped alongside her in class, or rollerbladed with her in Central Park, she was always chatting away.

She raised 4 children with Tony Konsulis, and was a very caring nurse who took the extra time to make sure every single one of her patients felt cared for and loved. Connie had an extremely positive attitude, and always put others before herself. Mimi could always be counted on to answer the phone and brighten anyone’s day, and even if you just had to vent, she would take your side no matter what and you could never end a phone call upset after hearing her laugh; you could practically hear her smile through the phone.

Mimi is survived by her husband, Tony Konsulis, her 4 children, Stacey Nobrega, Ricky Konsulis, Chris Konsulis, and Scott Konsulis; her grandchildren, Corey Konsulis, Dominic Konsulis, Nadia Nobrega, Kaylee Konsulis, Anna Konsulis, Nicholas Konsulis, Isabella Konsulis, and Liliana Konsulis; and her great-grand children, Callahan Konsulis, Redding Konsulis, and Rhodes Konsulis.

Connie’s happiest moments were spent with her family and grandkids, and while she is no longer here with us physically, she will live on forever in our fond memories, and in our hearts.
